The entire Karl Lagerfeld x Olivia Palermo collection
Announced last February, the Karl Lagerfeld x Olivia Palermo collaboration revealed all the pieces in the collection today. But you will have to hold on until 27 June, the release date for this highly awaited capsule collection.
A mix of elegance and modernity
Putting a New York spin on the Kaiser of fashion’s iconic style as only the American influencer knows how is the concept behind this new collaboration eagerly awaited by fashionistas. Christened “Karl Lagerfeld styled by Olivia Palermo”, this new capsule collection marked by contemporary elegance adopts the sartorial codes of this consummate It-girl.
“Our collection focuses on universal wardrobe essentials like a leather biker jacket, white button-down shirts and tuxedo suiting,” explained the woman who regularly appears in the front row at Chanel shows.
“I wanted to play with Karl Lagerfeld’s iconic Parisian classics and add my own touch that’s eclectic and feminine. I used my travels and experiences in different cultures to inform my edit, to ensure its wearability from Paris to New York and beyond,” she added.
A complete wardrobe
Designed to be worn day and night alike, the pieces in the collaboration present a pragmatic urban wardrobe, mixing current trends with timeless basics. There are leather trousers with a slightly biker edge, followed by a modern houndstooth tuxedo and a surprising sporty dress, composed of a zip bomber jacket and pleated skirt in a trompe-l’oeil combination.
According to Olivia Palermo, the long, asymmetrical and immaculate shirts are directly inspired by her wardrobe, while the accessories – a croc-effect handbag and a bucket bag – adopt the Parisian brand’s codes. The young woman has also co-designed five exclusive pieces, including a grained leather biker jacket set off with “Karl State of Mind” neo-graffiti, which devotees are sure to snap up.
The Karl Lagerfeld x Olivia Palermo collaboration will be available from 27 June in Karl Lagerfeld stores and in the brand’s e-shop.
