A revolutionary insulating fibre that gives every garment created a unique and singular appearance? This is the technological feat just realised by the textile manufacturer Thermore with the launch of Ecodown Fibers Marble, a fabric with multiple properties that could lastingly change our concept of thermal insulation.
Five years. This was how long it took the Italian firm Thermore to develop an exceptional insulating fibre technology at the cutting edge of the latest textile innovations. The name? Ecodown Fibers Marble. With a high fill power, this new insulating fibre is also durable, white and made from recycled materials.
“We realised there was very little to improve, technically,” stated a Thermore spokesperson about the insulating fabrics. “There was only one thing that we could change with this product and it would make all the difference: the way it looks.” For this is what makes Ecodown stand out from its competitors: its aesthetic!
“The progress in fabric technology now allows fabrics to be very resistant and so light that you can see through them. We felt the apparel world was ready for the next challenge: using insulation to give garments unique visual interest,” he continued.
Looking to transform an aesthetic consideration, insulation, into a creative concern, Thermore thus allows every item of clothing featuring Ecodown technology to take on a unique marbled appearance, meaning that there is no identical piece on the market. The aim? To make the consumer feel like they are wearing something extraordinary, as each piece is designed as a work of art with an original appearance.
This is a way of meeting everyone’s need to stand out through clothes expressing our identity in a personal way. In the same vein, Thermore also presents Ecodown Fibers Black, which offers a surprising 3D colour effect using light-coloured fabrics. In addition, this mechanism makes it possible to change the shade of any fabric used, creating endless possibilities and colours. What more could you ask for?
