Aquazzura has a new store at the heart of Milan, decorated by the architects Casa do Passadiço
The Florentine label Aquazzura has just opened its new showcase at the heart of Milan. Carte blanche was given to Casa do Passadiço’s interior designers, Cláudia and Catarina Soares, who have come up with a precious and elegant space inspired by seventies’ Italian style.
a precious showcase
The luxury shoemaker that everyone is going crazy for, Aquazzura has just revealed a sumptuous new store right in the centre of Milan on the Via Sant’Andrea. For this new address, the Casa do Passadiço architects have designed an elegant décor drawing on tones of pink and gold and concentrating high-end know-how.
Each element of the décor has been custom-designed in fine, sophisticated materials, such as French marble, blown glass, velvet and brass.
the influence of italian design
Edgardo Osorio, Aquazzura’s designer, displays a real fondness for his Italian roots, which shows through his work for the brand as well as his vision of art and design. For the Milan store’s décor, Casa do Passadiço’s architects were therefore inspired by Italian architecture and design from the seventies and iconic edifying monuments, such as the inside of Santa Maria Novella church in Florence.
The polished brass details, black and white stripes and pineapples distinct to the Italian brand’s aesthetic are present of course, to create a setting with a classic yet contemporary elegance.
