Looking as if it came straight out of a fairytale or science fiction film, the iridescent effect is inspiring designers to create furniture or decorative elements in atypical venues such as boutiques or museums.

Torafu Architects designs a Freitag store that resembles a kiosk

To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Freitag chose the studio Torafu Architects to design its new store in Osaka, Japan. In a unique style reminiscent of a kiosk, the Freitag store combines an industrial look with coloured accents thanks to the many bags on display. Freitag, which manufactures practical bags made from recycled materials such as old lorry tarpaulins, bicycle inner tubes or seat belts, has acquired a space that reflects its image, right at the heart of Japan.

The clothing brand Wellsky reveals a new store with a futuristic decor

The clothing brand Wellsky has opened a new store in Hangzhou, China. Designed by the Xian Xiang Design studio, the store interior plays on the contrast between a futuristic aesthetic and softer, warmer decorative elements, reminiscent of the “Glamorous Wellness” concept in the SOUL Theme, in the SS20 Influences & Design Trendbook.
