Reformation x Soko: the new season’s most sustainable jewellery collaboration

From little summer dresses to timeless jeans and not forgetting our shoes, Reformation has won over planet fashion with pieces that are as desirable as they are sustainable. And through this new collaboration with ethical jewellery label Soko, the Californian brand is looking to apply its eco-friendly principles to the jewellery sector.

A chic and ethical collection

Large hoop earrings revisited with authentic accents, a gold chain with a pared-down design: the capsule collection adopts the iconic creative codes of the brand made in Kenya. Each piece is crafted using natural materials such as recycled brass, wood and salvaged cow horn.

They are also produced by craftswomen who, thanks to this project, can earn up to five times more than a conventional worker. And the icing on the cake is that each of these pieces of jewellery is extremely affordable, with prices under $100.

Socially responsible brands

Like Soko, Reformation is known for its social commitment through the ethical sourcing of its raw materials, a fair wage policy for its workers, and rock-solid transparency concerning the manufacturing conditions in its factories based in the Los Angeles suburbs.

Owned and managed by women, Soko also has B Corps certification for the actions it undertakes with isolated artisans, as well as its ecological production principles. Suffice to say that a collaboration between the two firms soon seemed self-evident, proving once again that jewellery can (also) go hand in hand with social and ecological progress.
